In 2021, nearly 700 people across Britain took part in online conversations to talk about their experiences of health and care. Here’s what people with long term conditions said about their experiences.

  • People with long term physical and mental health conditions are often not listened to or believed by doctors
  • Long waiting times, and having to start from scratch with their care over and over, takes a real toll on everyday life and mental health
  • People want to be treated more holistically and see physical and mental health conditions joined up
  • The right support provided by a single health or care worker can transform someone’s life.
