"The doctors and the “experts”, you know, you go into a doctor's surgery and you say 'I need help with something' and they just kind of shove you off in a completely different direction. I've spent years and years and years trying to get diagnosed with this disease. And it took me sitting down in a doctor's office and saying, 'I don't care what you have to say, give me a gynaecological referral so that I can go and see a gynaecologist to talk about this.' And he literally patted me on the shoulder and said, 'Well, it's nothing to do with that. Come back and see me and we'll look at some real answers.'"
