“In the homelessness sector, we have to fight to get treatments for people who are very, very ill. Both for mental health and for addiction treatment, for general treatment sometimes or social care. They just get missed out. And as much as we are trying to help to prevent it getting more serious, so that more intervention and more expensive treatment needs to be taken…they are not given the opportunity to access that treatment. Not just homeless people, but it’s been mentioned on the call…we have to wait till people are so desperate for treatment until they are given it. So there needs to be more access to early intervention.”
