“I would advocate for us to keep kindness and compassion and respect at the heart of everything that we’re doing. Because I see and hear unkindness probably on a daily basis […] It’s about wellness. It’s not about illness. And there’s something there around managing expectations for patients […] It would be a whole lot better if we communicate better with our patients and treated them less like they’re a problem. And that actually, again sounds really twee, but the best care happens when you work in partnership with patients.”
