"We were extremely lucky when my Dad had his vascular dementia. Mum was looking after him. Then she had a fall and she couldn't look after him. We were told to contact through Crossroads Care. They actually care for the carers. Because my Mum wasn't able to look after Dad at that particular point, Crossroads came in and gave crisis support, which at first was a lot of support and it's free. It's a charity. So I can't speak highly enough about Crossroads because I think they're fantastic and I think they are country-wide in one form or another."
