"For me, the most important thing with regards to the welfare of the health and social care workers is zero tolerance to violence and aggression. Because there's not a single day without being racially abused or physically abused. And nothing ever gets done about it. You report an incident to the Police, they will tell you that this person is mentally unwell. So there's no prosecution. That's what I would like the government to sort out in terms of protecting us from violence and aggression. I want zero tolerance. These people who do such things have to be prosecuted...There are posters in hospitals and other healthcare places talking about zero tolerance. But when an incident happens, nothing is done about it."
