"I'm with my child who has a disability. She has Down’s syndrome. Some of you might know, she has a lot of health issues, quirky things. I've been put off taking her to the GP because generally it's ‘Well, you know, this is very typical. Yes, people with Down’s syndrome do get this or they do get that, just see how it develops’. If another child had swollen fingers that appeared overnight, and you took them down to the GP, it'd be ‘Oh my goodness, what's going on?’ But it was my child, so it's an ‘Oh, yes’. It's a prejudice basically, against people with disabilities."
