"I found out I breast cancer... they'd done biopsies...and, since that day, I had phone calls and I had hospital appointments. I had my doctor phoning to make sure that I was okay. And when I went to the hospital, people could not have been nicer. I got the surgery I needed straight away and the aftercare was absolutely amazing. I had Breast Cancer Now on the phone – do I need counselling? Do I need this? Do I want a course? I would say to my kids ‘I cannot believe this is happening. I cannot believe that all this is put in place for somebody with breast cancer.’ Don't get me wrong, it was brilliant for me to be able to experience that. But that doesn't happen with everybody who goes to the NHS...but the service for breast cancer is definitely second to none."
