"If at the base provision of a service you pay the lowest available rates, you're willing to underpay people, you start off on the wrong footing from the get-go. The whole pyramid of care and health is based upon the premise that people like ourselves are altruistic in nature and want to provide a service beyond what they're being remunerated for. And as long as services and countries and governments can continue to play on that they will underpay them and under support services. For me, fair pay will always lead to a better service. Better pay will always lead to an improvement in service. Excellent pay will always lead to an excellent service."
