“People end up in hospital for longer than they need to be”
“You’ve got to include housing. People end up in hospital for longer than they need to be because they can’t get home because their houses are unsuitable. Particularly where I am, we build houses for young people, we build houses for students, we accommodate people on holiday. We do not build anything for anyone who has additional needs and I think that’s shocking. And it has to be factored in, otherwise health and social care will not work together.”
